Everything Parents Want to Know
A1 represents excellence and strong beginnings. “A” is the first letter of the alphabet, and “1” is the first number, symbolizing the strong academic foundation we aim to build during the important elementary and middle school years.
Our goal is to help children enjoy learning, build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and create habits that prepare them for success in school and beyond.
We’re located on Coral Way near 22nd Avenue, conveniently between Coral Gables and Brickell in Miami.
We work with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with instruction personalized to each child’s level and goals.
We offer K–8 Math and Reading, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and standardized test prep.
Every student begins with an assessment. We use the results to create a personalized learning plan to close gaps, strengthen skills, and build confidence.
Students complete an approximately 45-minute written assessment in a comfortable, encouraging environment. We then review the results with parents and recommend the best learning plan.
Our assessments cover grade- and subject-specific skills based on public, private, charter, and faith-based school curricula. We identify strengths and learning gaps and review the results with parents.
The assessment is $25 and is applied toward registration if you enroll.
Both! We help struggling students close learning gaps and catch up, while challenging advanced students with higher-level material to keep them engaged and moving ahead.
We offer small groups of no more than four students per tutor, personalized instruction, and a structured, academically focused environment. We’re engineer-owned and emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and primarily paper-based, screen-free learning.
Students receive personalized attention in a safe, structured learning environment with background-checked tutors and fewer distractions. Small groups also give students the opportunity to learn alongside and motivate their peers, without the inconvenience of having a tutor come to your home.
No. Students already have enough homework! Practice happens during our sessions with an instructor available to guide them. We can also help with schoolwork or upcoming tests when needed.
Pricing varies depending on the program and whether you choose small-group or one-on-one tutoring. Please contact A1 Academy for current tuition and enrollment options.
Cash is accepted for the initial registration and first payment. After that, a credit or debit card is required for automatic monthly billing.
Students attend a minimum of two one-hour sessions per week. Depending on the student’s academic needs and learning goals, we may recommend additional weekly sessions. Consistent attendance allows us to reinforce skills, track progress, and achieve better results.
At this time, A1 Academy does not accept or bill scholarships or insurance directly.
